Reading Recovery: High Impact, Short Duration

During the 2009-10 school year, 73% of children who had a complete Reading Recovery intervention met grade-level expectations in literacy. Prior to Reading Recovery services, these children had the lowest achievement in literacy learning in first grade. Students met individually with a specially-trained teacher for 30 minutes each day for an average of 16 weeks. Click here for the complete report.
