"Game changer" is still the refrain when talking about single sign-on for students with OneClick. It saves classroom time and provides more secure access.
Here is a snapshot of what's happening...
- We're creating QR codes for elementary schools and for individual students new to the school.
- Students are using critical thinking organizational skills to arrange the apps on their personal launchpads.
- About 90% of the launchpads are started or completed for schools/districts in our service area.
- Teacher librarians and tech directors have been fantastic during the roll-out when the apps and extension are tested.
- We're integrating OneClick into the Clever or ClassLink structure that may already be in place in your school or district.
- Finally, we are piloting with the Van Meter district with the goal of offering a new service to add school-specific apps to student launchpads.

You can make the login process easier and more secure and save valuable instructional time when you give teachers and students single sign-on access to critical instructional resources with AEA OneClick! AEA OneClick features and advantages:
- Support more secure environments for students to access digital content.
- Provide a single sign-on solution for students and educators to access AEA digital content (and some statewide professional content).
- Simplify the process for access and finding AEA links and resources for the appropriate grade spans and educators.
- Measure usage of AEA links and resources across the state.
Heartland AEA has been creating apps for districts this summer. When your district apps are ready, we’ll let you know and then direct you to https://launchpad.classlink.com/haea to log in. Included in the OneClick launchpad is the app for AEA Scout (searches most of the secondary-level digital content at the same time and includes study and reading tools).
We have support materials, ideas, graphics to add to your school webpages, and professional learning to help your staff and students transition to OneClick.

At the October 2021 Heartland Administrators’ Association meeting, we presented the Heartland AEA OneClick program where a single sign-on would be used by students and teachers to access the robust digital resources available to schools (e.g., BookFLIX, PebbleGo, Britannica, Gale, EBSCO, Learn 360, SIRS, and more). This approach is in line with the goal to provide greater digital privacy and security for your teachers and students. Our youngest researchers and readers can use a QR code to log in. The brief slide presentation from the HAA meeting includes notes and screenshots of the launchpad.
Almost a dozen districts in the Heartland AEA service area have started the process to add their domain to OneClick. Districts that haven’t responded yet are invited to complete the pre-boarding questionnaire. You may want to ask the teacher librarian, curriculum coordinator, and technology director to review the questionnaire before completion.
