Administrators: Handle Iowa Alternate Assessment Results As You Do ISASP Results

Attention Read Me
Similar to what is required for ISASP, results of the 2018-19 Dynamic Learning Maps test for students assessed through Alternate Assessment need to be sent to parents and also maintained in the cumulative folder. Special education teachers have access to the reports through the KITE teacher portal. District assessment administrators should advise teachers of students tested through Alternate Assessment of the procedure to follow to share and maintain individual student DLM test performance results.

Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress Update: ISASP Timeline for District Supports and Release of Student Results

Pearson released the timeline for rolling out ISASP supports and results. This will be listed in the Bulletin Section of the ISASP Portal in the next few days. The Bulletin contains the following information:

  • When performance level descriptors, cut scores and sample reports will be available
  • Guidelines for accessing ISASP data (webinar)
  • Interpretive manual and webinar for educators
  • Interpretive information for families
  • Overview of local support materials
  • When ISASP results will be released to districts
  • When the embargo is lifted and districts can publicly share results

Please note they will do a staggered release of information and tools and once schools get the results there will be an embargo on releasing the results for one week.

Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP)

Iowa Testing Programs (ITP) and Pearson have introduced the newly designed Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) website. This will be the “one-stop-shop” for all things related to ISASP. This website will provide a detailed roadmap for technology readiness preparation, training materials, test administration documentation, student tutorials and practice tests. The first bulletin posted at Pearson's ISASP website includes a general overview of the ISASP. As additional information is available, the site will be updated and you will be notified of the changes. Iowa Testing Programs will be giving monthly updates on ISASP at Curriculum Network. The video of these updates will be posted in the Connection the following week.
