Teachers who are new to using INSIDE THE USA, which are National Geographic materials for English Learners, are invited to join a free webinar to learn more about the program, the purpose of each component, instructional paths and assessment tools. National Geographic’s English language development programs will be presented at Heartland AEA on May 2, 2016. This session is open to both Heartland AEA districts that have purchased National Geographic Inside/Edge and Inside the USA materials as well as those that are exploring options for potential English Language Development resources. Inside/Edge is designed for middle and high school ELLs and Inside the USA provides essential language and literacy skills for newcomers at the secondary level.
